VWBHL Players Travel to Lil’wat Nation for 4th Annual Unity Cup Easter Weeknd!

Members of the Vancouver Women’s Ball Hockey League (VWBHL) are set to travel to Ullus Community Centre, hosted by the Lil’wat First Nations, to take part in the 4th annual Unity Cup ball hockey tournament—an event that truly embodies community, culture, and connection.
Hosted in the heart of the Lil’wat Nation, the Unity Cup brings together teams from across the region in a celebration of sport and unity. The tournament, organized by Gators Manager Fawn Andrew, featured a strong competitive field with 14 men’s teams competing for a $4,500 prize and 6 women’s teams battling for a $1,200 prize.
For VWBHL players, the experience extended far beyond the game. Competing at the Ullus Community Centre offered a unique opportunity to engage with the community, build relationships, and be part of an event grounded in respect, inclusivity, and a shared passion for ball hockey.
The VWBHL is proud to support and participate in events like the Unity Cup and extends sincere thanks to Fawn Andrew and the Lil’wat Nation community for their incredible hospitality and continued leadership in growing the game.
